Greek coastal shipping and tourism

Our goal is the great idea, the best choices for Greek coastal shipping and tourism.

Over time, Greek shipping exceeds Greek borders and is dynamically present on a global level, something that is expected to keep on in 2019. However, within our borders, Greek coastal navigation requires interventions directly on key issues to build on its background and pillars, as its dynamic presence is valuable and necessary for economic, political, social and strategic reasons.

The biggest, among other, problems that Greek coasting navigation has faced in recent years are:
• Insufficient infrastructure in ports where despite the fact that the problem is still unknown, the necessary moves to improve them are not accomplished
• The necessary reduction in VAT from 24% to 12-13%, as otherwise the cost will be passed to the passenger in a difficult economically environment. Already the companies operating in Greek coastal shipping in 2018 absorbed a huge increase in fuel reaching the 50% threshold
• Compliance with the Coastal Law 2932 which, unfortunately, is not protected several times and is misinterpreted by the ISC (Shipping Board) and the Ministry of Shipping. Especially, in such cases, the minister is required to have the courage and determination to adhere to legality, because without complying with laws and rules, chaos will be created which will have a negative impact on tourism, economy and, therefore, on Greek travelers and island residents.
In such a difficult occasion in many respects, Seajets, the company that began 30 years ago as a family dream, a vision of love, passion, faith, persistence .... life vision was voted as passenger company of the year for 2018. Our goal is the great idea, the best tomorrow for Greek coastal shipping and tourism. This family company has managed to become the best and most reliable solution for many destinations on the Aegean trip. Seajets was rightfully and unjustly included in the world's leading fast-food companies, having spent some years crossing the border of Greece, receiving a prize for its services in Portugal in 2018.
